WELCOME TO
SAGE MIDWIFERY
As part of my commitment to anti-racism work, I donate a portion of Sage Midwifery’s profit to Black birth workers, organizations combating white supremacy in birth work, and organizations with BIPOC leaders that are addressing the high maternal mortality rate amongst Black women.
Sam (she/her) is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) serving families in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland.
She is dedicated to providing inclusive, trauma-informed, evidence-based care.
Sam welcomes all family structures and is especially proud to serve people from historically underserved communities including: the LGBTQ+ community and communities of color. She also serves rural communities, people living in low-income households, people with differing abilities, people who have children later in life, and people of all body sizes.
Sage Midwifery Core Tenets:
Our bodies are capable of amazing things!
Midwifery care is the gold standard of care for pregnant persons and every individual has the right to be treated with dignity and respect by their health care provider in a safe, affirming environment.
Midwives are here to guide you on your reproductive journey and to support your autonomy and choices.
It is paramount that the newborn be treated with the same dignity and respect as midwives treat the pregnant/birthing/postpartum person—providing a gentle and kind entrance into this world is the least we can do to serve the newest members of our community.
