Honestly Postpartum

Honestly Postpartum: A Group Conversation to Jumpstart Your Parenthood Journey

Join us for a 90-mintute conversation about the joys and challenges of postpartum. This group is facilitated by mother of three, Linsay Hiller, and father of two, Drew Sample, as they share their personal experiences as well as important information about what to expect when you welcome a new baby into your family. Bring all of your questions, deepest thoughts, and dreams to this conversation. After the group, you will be invited to continue to find connection and support through a dedicated Fatherhood Circle led by Drew and a group for mothers and birthing parents led by Linsay. All are welcome – we strive to be inclusive of all family types, genders, and cultures.

***Group size is limited to 8 families***

Location: Zoom (link provided on registration)

Drew Sample is a father of two boys - Asher (6) and Isaac (2.75) - and a partner in parenting with his spouse, Hannah. He entered into parenting earlier than expected but confident that a few books, the help of a few experts, and a healthy dose of common sense would sufficiently equip him for the job. Most of these beliefs were quickly shattered after the birth of his first son and then again with the birth of his second. Recognizing the value of peer support he has witnessed in women's groups and other aspects of his own life, he aims to create spaces where fathers can come together to nurture their growth and development in fatherhood, in their families, and for themselves.

Linsay Hiller is the mother of three young children, one of whom was born at home under the loving care of the Sage Midwifery midwives, Sam and Roni. Linsay is a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, co-owner of Enriched Birth™, and a Certified Birth Story Medicine® birth story listener. She is also a volunteer support group leader with Postpartum Support Virginia and loves leading Pregnancy and Babyfeeding Socials where she shares her own birth and motherhood experiences. After a first postpartum experience caring for a colicky newborn and a second postpartum recovery filled with anxiety and stress while juggling a toddler and a newborn, she knows first-hand how much postpartum support and prenatal education expectant and new parents need and deserve. An emotionally traumatic first birth and empowering and healing second and third births also make her a firm believer in the impact of the birth experience itself. She is thrilled to partner with Sage Midwifery to co-lead their Honestly Postpartum groups and welcome all Sage families into Enriched Birth™’s Pregnancy and Babyfeeding Socials.
