IN-OFFICE (Fairfax) Postpartum Lactation Appointment
60 min This appt is scheduled in our Fairfax, VA office (within Sage Midwifery) at 8320 Professional Hill Dr, Fairfax, VA 22031. It will consist of a health history of the dyad; a breast, nipple and oral motor function assessment; pre- and post-feed weight to evaluate transfer of milk; discussion on calibrating supply; assessment of latch/positioning; assistance with breastfeeding aids/equipment; and a care plan to help you meet your breastfeeding goals. Follow up appointments are recommended weekly under 4-6 weeks old, and as determined by you and your LC beyond that.
